Panels & patterns

In addition to standard oak boards, as a manufacturer of wooden floors, we offer classic and traditional patterns in the form of parquets and palace cassettes.

Parquet flooring arranged in a herringbone pattern

A wooden floor laid in a timeless herringbone pattern will add class, a unique atmosphere, as well as charm and coziness to a space. What is this famous herringbone pattern?

Herringbone, or the traditional, "endless" zigzag, is a pattern for laying floorboards. This classic pattern has several variations (wood can be laid, for example, in a double or triple herringbone pattern). The final effect is influenced not only by the pattern used, but also by the size of the planks. In this context, it's worth remembering that the ratio between the length and width of a plank should be 4:1, 5:1, or 6:1. For example, with a width of 85 mm, the plank can be 340, 425, or 510 mm. These proportions allow you to achieve the desired pattern. In addition to the popular herringbone, you can also choose Chevron pattern. These planks are parallelogram-shaped, so after installation, a straight line is created between them. The planks can also be arranged in a basketweave or brickwork pattern.

This arrangement adds depth to the interior and evokes associations of prestige and elegance. It's worth remembering that the classic herringbone, also known as the zigzag, was already known in 16th-century France, during the reign of Francis I.

Chevron flooring differs from classic herringbone in the way the planks are laid. Classic herringbone flooring uses planks of equal dimensions, arranged so that the side of one plank meets the long side of the other at a right angle. The French chevron pattern resembles an arrowhead. The French chevron pattern allows for a wide range of interior design options. Chevron gives interiors a unique atmosphere and character. If a homeowner chooses French chevron, the spaces in which it is installed will acquire a unique ambiance that will last for years.

Cassettes

Albert, Castel, and Chateau—these aren't common names, but rather the names of just a few of the wooden panel designs available in the Chapel Basilica collection. The elements in this series don't feature micro-beveling—thanks to the virtually invisible edge joints, the floor looks as if it were crafted from a large piece of wood. Unique, unforgettable, and classic.

The Chapel Basilica wood flooring collection includes 11 pre-made palace cassette patterns (Cross Cassette, Empire, Variance, Etoille, Albert, Versailles, Renaissance, Chantilly, Castel, and Chateau), but standard designs can be modified. You can also create your own pattern or recreate elements for a revitalized interior. They are available in 16 vibrant colors, with a single cassette consisting of elements in different shades. In short, endless possibilities to suit your preferences. Chapel Parket, the parquet manufacturer, will carefully craft every element of your dream floor!

The cassettes are 20 mm thick and made of a layered (engineered) material. Some models of the palace designs are suitable for installation with underfloor heating.

Like all Chapel Parket floors, these aged and hand-assembled elements are protected with a wax oil enriched with silicon compounds. This substance increases the cassettes' resistance to damage from everyday use and also facilitates their ongoing care and maintenance.

Oak cassettes from the wood flooring manufacturer Chapel Parket are installed in historic buildings under conservation supervision, palaces, castles, museums, ballrooms, as well as in private homes and residences.
